MONIN x SMEG Competition Terms & Condition

November 2026

1. Promoter 

  1. The promoter is Moi Agencies, NZBN 9429038356261, of Unit C1, 63 Apollo Drive, Rosedale, Auckland 0632, New Zealand (“the Promoter”). The SMEG Espresso Machine is supplied by SMEG New Zealand (“SMEG NZ”), which is a prize supplier only and not a promoter of this promotion. 
  1. Information on how to enter and the prize forms part of these terms. By entering, entrants accept these terms. 

2. Promotion period 

  1. The promotion opens at 9.00am NZDT on Tuesday 3 November 2026 and closes at 11.59pm NZDT on Sunday 15 November 2026 (“Promotion Period”). 
  1. Entries received outside the Promotion Period will not be accepted. 

3. Eligibility 

  1. Entry is open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years or over. 
  1. Employees and immediate family members of the Promoter, SMEG NZ, and their agencies are not eligible to enter. 
  1. No purchase is necessary to enter. 

4. How to enter 

  1. To enter on Instagram, entrants must, during the Promotion Period: 
  1. Follow @monin_newzealand and @smeg_nz on Instagram; 
  1. Tag a friend in a comment on the competition post; and 
  1. Comment which MONIN flavour they would add to their coffee first. 
  1. To enter on Facebook, entrants must, during the Promotion Period: 
  1. Follow the MONIN NZ Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/monin_newzealand and the Smeg NZ Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/SmegNZ; and 
  1. Comment on the competition post telling us who they would share their first brew with and which MONIN flavour they would add first. 
  1. Entrants may enter once on Instagram and once on Facebook, for a maximum of two entries per person. Additional comments will not count as additional entries. 
  1. Entries must be made from a genuine personal account. Entries made using automated tools, fake or duplicate accounts, or that are offensive, defamatory or otherwise inappropriate, will be invalid, as determined by the Promoter at its discretion. 
  1. Tagging a friend is not required to enter on Facebook. Anyone tagged or mentioned in a comment is not entered unless they enter themselves. 

5. Prize 

  1. There is one (1) prize, consisting of: 
  1. 1 x SMEG Espresso Machine with Built-In Grinder in Cream (RRP $1,799.00); and 
  1. 1 x MONIN Coffee Syrup Hazelnut 250mL and 1 x MONIN Coffee Syrup Low Sugar Vanilla 250mL (combined RRP $17.98). 
  1. The total prize value is $1,816.98 (incl. GST). 
  1. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. If any part of the prize becomes unavailable, the Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. 
  1. The prize will be delivered to an address in New Zealand provided by the winner, in two separate shipments: SMEG NZ will send the espresso machine directly to the winner, and the Promoter will send the MONIN syrups. Delivery is expected within 21 business days of the winner confirming their details. 
  1. Any warranty for the SMEG Espresso Machine is provided by SMEG NZ under its standard terms. Rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 are not affected. 

6. Winner selection and notification 

  1. The winner will be drawn at random from all valid entries on Monday 16 November 2026 at Unit C1, 63 Apollo Drive, Rosedale, Auckland 0632. 
  1. The winner will be notified by a reply to their comment and a direct message from the official MONIN NZ account on Tuesday 17 November 2026. The Promoter will never ask the winner for payment, passwords or bank details. 
  1. The winner must reply with their full name, delivery address, phone number and email by 5.00pm NZDT on Tuesday 24 November 2026. 
  1. If the winner cannot be contacted, does not respond in time, or is found ineligible, the prize will be forfeited. A redraw will take place on Wednesday 25 November 2026 under the same terms. 
  1. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 

7. Publicity 

  1. The winner’s first name, last initial and social media handle may be published on MONIN NZ and SMEG NZ social media channels. 
  1. The winner may be asked to take part in reasonable publicity, such as sharing a photo with the prize. Taking part is optional and is not a condition of receiving the prize. 

8. Privacy 

  1. Personal information collected from entrants is collected by the Promoter and used only to run this promotion, contact the winner and deliver the prize. 
  1. The winner’s delivery details may be shared with SMEG NZ and couriers solely to deliver the prize. 
  1. Information will be held in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020. Entrants may request access to or correction of their information by contacting [email protected]. 

9. Instagram and Facebook 

  1. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, Facebook or Meta Platforms, Inc. 
  1. By entering, each entrant fully releases Instagram, Facebook and Meta Platforms, Inc. from any and all liability in connection with this promotion. 
  1. Any questions, comments or complaints about the promotion must be directed to the Promoter, not to Instagram, Facebook or Meta. 

10. Liability 

  1. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter and SMEG NZ are not liable for any loss, damage or injury arising from entry into the promotion or the use of the prize, except for liability that cannot be excluded by law. 
  1. The Promoter is not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed or not received due to technical issues, platform outages, or comments being hidden or removed by Instagram or Facebook. 

11. General 

  1. The Promoter may cancel, suspend or amend the promotion if circumstances beyond its reasonable control affect its fair operation. Any changes will be posted on the competition post. 
  1. The Promoter may disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or breaches these terms. 
  1. These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
